From the recording Never Too Late

I wrote this many years ago, and convinced David Cumming (Taxxi) to sing it for me and add some guitar parts. As time's gone by, the fears I had have been fully realized, at great cost and suffering. You may notice that the lyrics don't match - I felt compelled to update them given how exigent the crisis is now. Since I don't have access to the original tracks, in order to record the lyrics now I'll have to completely re-record the song. My family keeps telling me to leave it alone, especially given how well David rocked the tune to begin with.

Lyrics

Look out! Your momma’s in a rage
Old girl, will never act her age
And she knows, precisely who’s to blame
That’s right, it’s we who fan the flames
Mother Nature, have you had enough?
Mother Nature, is starting to get tough
Mother Nature, lord you can be so cruel
Mother Nature, ain’t gonna play the fool
She’s been around since time began
She’s seen, the great ascent of man
And long after every one of us, is finally dead and gone
Momma will continue keeping on and on and on and on
Mother Nature...
All that she wants is some love and respect
Is that so much for your Momma to expect?
But we’re so ungrateful, so very full of abuse
We’re pushing that fiery old woman to the end of her fuse
And now, she’s had all she can take
She howls, she burns, she floods, she breaks
She’ll pay us back for every lack of common courtesy
She’ll make us wish, that we had never, compromised her dignity
Mother Nature..
