I wrote this song when we first attacked Iran. I got so tired of hearing the news that I practically threw a rock at my television, cracked my laptop, flushed my cell phone, buried my iPad - well, you get it. I'm heartened to report that at least a few righteous people have made themselves heard since I wrote the song, namely, the Pope and American Bishops. And many others, I know, share my views here and are speaking up. The lead singer and acoustic guitarist is David Cumming, formerly of Taxxi, the rock guitar and bass parts were done by Loren "Bart" Fletcher. Yours truly on the rest. Peace out!
Lyrics
It’s raining bombs in Tehran, made in the US of A
Ending lives with abandon, and what have you got to say?
You thought it would be so easy, you didn’t give a damn who’d be hurt
Foolish boys with your bright shiny toys, guess what, things can always be worse
Please tell me the war is over, don’t make me wait one more day
Just tell me the war is over, we’re already a lifetime too late
Grifters, heartless creatures, telling such odious lies
You’ll never know the light of love, bound by the black gold you prize
Where are the righteous people, where are the children of God?
How did the land of the free and brave surrender to this obvious fraud?
Please tell me the war is over...
